藍絲絨異形（Baryancistrus beggini）這個名字體現了L239的特色，此魚對水質相對敏感，因此在水質良好的情況下體色會呈現墨藍色且外體會有些金黃色的小刺甲。在光照充分和水質清晰的情況下，L239還能在背鰭和尾鰭出現一道水藍邊紋。原產於哥倫比亞、委內瑞拉，尤其於Río Orinoco上游地區尤其常見。
